SS316 is a quality grading of stainless steel with chromium, nickel, and molybdenum alloys added to it to improve its structure.
It has austenite or face-centered cubic crystalline structure, which makes it non-magnetic and prevents it from being hardened by heat treatment.

When choosing a 316 SS ball valve, your first concern is the sealing performance, regardless of whether the seats or seals are made of metal, non-metallic.
In a typical 316 stainless steel ball valve, you usually can find its soft seats that are made of PTFE or other modified versions of PTFE. The valve seat design is a decisive factor to prevent the internal leakage of your SS316 ball valves.
