High-Tech JIS Ball Valves Assist your Business Big Outbread
JIS, an acronym for Japanese Industrial Standards, is a quality certification for products that meet the conformity standards stipulated by the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee, JISC.
JIS ball valve is a type of flanged ball valve, you can consider it as the Japanese equivalent of the ANSI ball valve, or DIN ball valve standard certification.
When manufacturing the JIS ball valve, Kinvalve strictly observes the stipulated regulations to deliver top-quality and well-marked ball valves to suit your specific application requirements.
Kinvalve flanged ball valve meets the JIS ratings for your application’s type of service, maximum service temperature, pressure, and material requirements.
Kinvalve JIS ball valve meets the face-to-face dimensions set under the JIS standard regulations. The standard call for this raised face is JIS B2002, clearly marked on your JIS ball valve.
The Kinvalve JIS ball valves meet the JIS 10K/20k pressure ratings and are marked as such. JIS 10K/20K mark indicates that your ball valve has been tested and approved to handle pressures of JIS 10k, and JIS 20k with leak-proof.

Versatile JIS Ball Valve Meets Your Diversity Requirements
Kinvalve offers your quality flanged ball valves that meet different certification criteria to suit various industrial standard requirements.
We supply you with a superior quality flanged JIS ball valve ideal for use in most high pressure and temperature applications like petroleum melting, pharmaceutical industries, chemical industries, paper making, and food industries.
Kinvalve JIS ball valve comes to you with a body, stem, and ball made of stainless steel, specified for high pressure and temperature applications.
This material is also rust and corrosion-resistant. The addition of molybdenum and other alloys to stainless steel enhances its strength and resistance to extremely corrosive environments, as would be in most chemical and seawater applications.
Kinvalve JIS ball valve can also be made of carbon steel body, with the stainless steel or other special alloy trim on request.
Our JIS ball comes with a stem that is pressure-resistant. This stem has a collar or shoulder attached to its lower side.
When assembling the JIS ball valve, we insert the stem from the inside, such that the shouldered side remains inside the ball valve.
When in operation, this shoulder ensures the stem does not blow out of the valve when pushed upwards by even the most extreme application pressures.
Kinvalve JIS ball valve comes in a floating ball design. As such, it requires a balance of pressure in the valve in order to get optimum results while in operation.
Kinvalve uses PTFE energized seats on the upstream side and the downstream side of the valve to seal around the ball of your JIS ball valve.
Our PTFE seats offer you guaranteed compensation for changes in pressure and temperature while the JIS ball valve is in operation.
Kinvalve PTFE seats have a flexible internal diameter, which allows a flexure zone between the valve body and the edge of the seat.
During installation of the valve, the seat is compressed, causing it to bend into the flexing zone.
This initial compression allows the valve to store up elastic energy, which it then uses to self-energize or self-relieve, to make up for variations in temperature and pressure during operation.
Depending on your cycle’s temperature and pressure ratings, pressure on the upstream side of the valve pushes the upstream seat and the ball towards the downstream seat.
This compression causes PTFE seats to change their shape temporarily, pressing tightly against the downstream seat to give you valve a bubble tight shutoff.
It is important to equalize the upstream pressure and the cavity pressure of your JIS ball valve for optimum cycle results.
Our JIS ball valve achieves this balance by ensuring upstream pressure enters the valve cavity by using PTFE seals which are inserted on the outer edge of the seats.
These seals help reduce friction between the seat and body valve, thereby minimizing damage to the seat.
They also allow for lower operating torque, and if your process is automated, use of seals lets you use a smaller actuator while cutting on operation costs.
Kinvalve understands that in some applications, a rise in temperature of the media in transport can cause an increase in cavity pressure. This increase is also known as thermal fluid expansion.
To address this, the self-relieving seats on the upstream side of our JIS ball valve move away from the ball, bending towards the upstream side.
This bending allows a small amount of pressure to escape, reducing the build-up in the cavity.
We can also fit your JIS ball valve with metal seats upon request, which is the best option for applications with corrosive or wear media being transported in the pipeline.
Metal seats can also withstand high temperature applications without risking damage to the valve. Depending on your application requirements, you can harden your metal seats further with special metals coatings.
Metals seats also offer you longer service in high temperature, high-corrosive or wear processing compared to soft seats.
They are relatively costly than PTFE seats but their long service makes up for the price difference.
Depending on the pressure and temperature requirements of your process, Kinvalve offers various types of gaskets to help you seal the body joints when the JIS ball valves are configurable in 2-piece, 3-piece or 3-way bodies.
Depending on your application, you can opt for resilient gasket options like metal and graphite gaskets or self-energizing gaskets like PTFE and spiral wound gaskets.
You can also use our gasket offerings alongside O-rings to pack around the stem of your JIS ball valve. The packing seals the stem interface to prevent leakage from the gap during the rotary operation.
You can opt for cup-to-cone packing, which involves using two similar gaskets held in place by a metal ring packing follower.
One of the gaskets fits inside the other, and the follower retains it inside the valve, compressing it uniformly as required.
You can also opt for the live-loaded packing for your JIS ball valve stem. This packing involves using cup-to-cone gaskets and Belleville washers to create a live load on the packing.
This type of packing enables pressure uniformity on the packing regardless of fluctuations in temperatures or pressure inside the valve.
You can automate with an electric or pneumatic actuator. To ensure proper alignment between the stem of your valve and the actuator, you can use an rack that is applied with ISO 5211 standard or require an ISO 5211 mounting pad integrated on your JIS ball valves.
As a safety precaution against unprecedented fires in your pipeline, the Kinvalve JIS ball valve comes in a fire-safe design that can safely shutoff the flow in the event of a fire.
Our JIS ball valve also comes with two inbuilt anti-static devices. One anti-static device is placed between the ball and the stem, while the other one is placed between the stem and the valve body.
This devices devices ensure static electricity caused by friction between these moving parts is transported out of the valve and into the ground to avoid sparking into a fire.
Kinvalve JIS ball valve is available in stock in large quantities to suit your pipeline requirements. Our JIS ball valve is affordably priced, and its parts and servicing requirements are also readily available.
We offer you an 18-month quality assurance period for every JIS ball valve again you buy from Kinvalve.
