Understanding Your Best DIN Ball Valve Qualifications

Kinvalve is a globally recognized ball valve manufacturer that meets all national and international standards specified for quality flanged ball valves, including DIN standards.

DIN is an acronym for “Deutsches Institut Fur Normung,” or German Institute for Standardization. It is the institute responsible for approving standards and providing national accreditation and certifications for the valve products in Germany.

In addition, DIN sets standards for processes and products like minimum performance, quality, dimensions, and characteristics, among others.

Though most DIN standards have been revised and replaced with DIN EN ISO standards, many DIN standards remain the basis for ISO standards, with only minor changes being effected. As such, DIN standards are still provided for products with no ISO or EN standards.

Kinvalve DIN ball valve has been tested and approved to meet all set DIN standards specified for flanged ball valves. Our flanged DIN ball valves come in DIN 3202 for face-to-face dimensions and DIN 2632/2633 flange dimensions.

Kinvalve flanged DIN ball valves can handle DIN pressure ratings of PN 10-40. Given its mechanical and dimensional characteristics, DIN’s PN pressure rating indicates the maximum internal pressure the DIN ball valve and its joints can withstand.

The PN number indicates that the DIN ball valve can handle 10 times to 40 times the maximum allowable operating pressure of the valve at -20-degree C.

Our DIN ball valve comes to you with markings that indicate the maximum performance capabilities of the specific valve to ensure you get the right valve for your industry needs.

Choose the Kinvalve DIN Flanged Ball Valve for Your Process

Kinvalve is your most dependable source of DIN ball valves. We not only supply you with the best quality of DIN ball valves, but we also ensure all the flanged ball valves are safe to use in your pipeline.

Kinvalve DIN ball valve comes in a floating ball design, which means that the ball is only supported by the seats it rests on.

Kinvalve offers PTFE seats as standard, though you can opt for other materials such as RPTFE seats which are modified versions of PTFE.

PTFE seats offer your DIN ball valve improved sealing performance due to their ability to take advantage of elastic deformation to change shape temporarily when subjected to temperature and pressure swings during operation.

Elastic deformation does not limit the design or PTFE material of the seats but rather works to enhance the seat’s performance.

Kinvalve PTFE seats offer your DIN ball valve excellent performance when subjected to increased pressure on the upstream side.

When the upstream pressure pushes the ball and the upstream seat towards the downstream direction, the PTFE seats change shape temporarily.

When the pressure decreases, the seats return to their original shape quickly to prevent leakage around the ball.

PTFE seats also offer excellent compensation for changes in thermal expansion due to increasing changes in temperature while the valve is in operation. They also last longer and don’t wear out quickly, even in high cycle conditions.

Kinvalve offers you the option for self-relieving seats. These seats store up energy during the initial installation stage, which they use during operation to compensate for changes in pressure and temperature. Self-energizing seats have a flexible internal seat diameter between the body and edge of the seat.

During installation, the seat is compressed to bend into the flexure zone. This compression causes the seat to accumulate elastic energy which it uses to flex, providing tight sealing around the ball during application.

Kinvalve also offers you the option for high-performance machined metal seats for your DIN ball valve. These are especially ideal for applications where the media in transport is high temperature, corrosive or impure with abrasive particles.

Metal seats perform well under extreme temperature cycles and can be hardened for special applications using special metal coatings to make them stronger with longer cycling lifespan.

Kinvalve DIN ball valve comes with a blow-out-proof stem design. This stem has a shouldered lower end which holds it inside the valve even when pushed up by the rotary movements of the valve while it is in operation.

We offer you various stem packing options to seal against leakage around the stem of your DIN ball valve.

In addition, you can opt to have a live-loading stem packing by packing cup-to-cone seals combined with Belleville washers.

Live-loaded packing ensures you have excellent sealing even when temperatures and working pressure fluctuate during operation, offering reliable tightness even in high cycle process systems.

Suppose your application has minimum pressure and temperature fluctuations, limited cycling requirements and is frequently inspected. In this case, you can select our one-piece stem packing option for your DIN ball valve stem.

This type of packing involves the use of one gasket to seal around the stem. It requires close monitoring for wear and tear and frequent replacing.

The stem O-ring is considered as an effective and flexible approach when your applications require a broad pressure range from low to high pressure rating.

Kinvalve understands the need for a leak-free joint between your DIN ball valve and your pipeline. To this end, Kinvalve brings you various gasket options to seal around the joints to ensure a bubble-tight, leak-free sealing.

Depending on your type of application, you can choose between self-energizing gaskets in the form of spiral wound gaskets or PTFE gaskets and resilient gaskets in either metal gaskets or graphite gaskets.

Kinvalve DIN ball valves can be automated to make operations in your industry easy to manage. You can automate your DIN ball valve using either an electric or a pneumatic actuator.

To install your actuator properly, Kinvalve offers you an ISO 5211 mounting pad. This mounting pad allows you to align the center line of your DIN ball valve stem with the centerline of your actuator when installing to avoid leakage caused by a misaligned stem.

To ensure electrical continuity in your DIN ball valve, Kinvalve has installed two anti-static devices in your DIN ball valve. Our anti-static device comes in a metallic bar and springs, also known as electrostatic spring sets.

One anti-static device is installed between the ball and stem of your DIN ball valve, while the other is placed between the stem and the body.

The anti-static device placed between the ball and stem of your ball valve interrupts electrostatic build-up caused by the friction between the ball and your DIN ball valve seats, releasing it out to the stem.

From here, the electrostatic spring set placed between the stem and body of your DIN ball valve interrupts the static charge from building up again, releasing it out into the body of the valve, where it is completely discharged.

Our Din ball valve also comes in a fireproof design that helps reduce pressure in your DIN ball valve and provides quick shutoff in the event of a fire in your valve or pipeline.

Kinvalve DIN ball valve is manufactured in strict adherence to DIN quality standards and all other international standards. We test all our ball valves to ensure they are up to the requisite EN 12266 standards.

Our DIN ball valves are also individually tested at the factory and during purchase to ensure we supply you with a ball valve free of manufacturing defects.

We offer you an 18-month quality guarantee period for every DIN ball valve you purchase from Kinvalve.

Our engineering and customer care team is always on standby to offer you a quality analysis and guidance on assembling our DIN ball valve.
